Graduate School Project:
Daniel Dornbusch received the diploma degree in Computer Science for Engineering from the Ilmenau University of Technology, Germany, in 2008. The topic of his diploma thesis is real-time detection and recognition of persons using three-dimensional appearance models in color images.
Subspace projections, facial feature finding, face recognition and dynamical systems for the generation of behavior are some fields of his previous work for the Department of Neuroinformatics and Cognitive Robotics at the TU Ilmenau.
In May 2008 he joined the Graduate School for Cognition and Robotics (CoR-Lab) as a Ph.D. student and the Neuroinformatics Group at Bielefeld University, Germany. His current research is focused on perception of local shape features as grasping affordances.
