Graduate School Project:
Heiko Wersing received the Diploma in Physics in 1996 from the University of Bielefeld, Germany. In 2000 he received the Ph.D. in science from the Faculty of Technology at the University of Bielefeld, Germany. In 2000 he became a member of the Future Technology Research Group of Honda R&D Europe GmbH, Offenbach, Germany. Since 2003 he holds a position as a principal scientist in the Honda Research Institute Europe GmbH at Offenbach, Germany. His current research interests include recurrent neural networks, models of perceptual grouping and feature binding, principles of sparse coding, and biologically motivated approaches to object recognition and online learning.
