From October 3rd till October 11th, 2008, the first science festival GENIALE is taking place all over Bielefeld, which allows to discover the fascinating world of science. The "GENIALE" will turn the town into a swirling campus full of ideas, challenges and lots of fun. Eight universities and colleges will be offering an interdisciplinary program for families with kids between 8 and 18.

The Technical Faculty presents on Wednesday, 8th, as one of the GENIALE highlights several different robotic research systems and offers a workshop for kids explaining how a robot is programmed and how it learns basic perceptual skills.
