Dr. Christian Goerick studied Electrical Engineering at the Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany, and at the Purdue University, Indiana, USA as a scholar of the DAAD (German academic exchange agency). He holds a Doctoral Degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Processing from the Ruhr-University of Bochum.

During his past career he held the positions of a Research Assistant, Doctoral Worker, Project Leader and Lecturer at the Institute for Neural Computation (INI), Chair for Theoretical Biology, Bochum, Germany, where he contributed to and organized several governmentally and industry-funded research projects.

Currently, Dr. Christian Goerick is Chief Scientist at the Honda Research Institute Europe GmbH. His research interests are in the field of embodied brain-like intelligence covering behavior-based vision, audition, behavior generation, cognitive robotics, car assistent systems, systems architecture as well as hard- and software environments.
