Carola Haumann studied physics in Bielefeld and Lyon and obtained her doctoral degree in physics from Bielefeld University in 2005. From 2005-2007 she managed research projects for VDI Technologiezentrum GmBH in behalf of the BMBF (Federal Ministry of Education and Research). Part of her responsibilities were the organisation of workshops, conferences and exhibitions in the areas nanoelectronics, plasma technology and security research. In August 2007 she joined the newly founded CoR-Lab as Managing Director of the CoR-Lab Graduate School.
