Graduate School Project:
Maha Salem studied Computer Science with a minor in Economics at the University of Paderborn, Germany, and the Queensland University of Technology, Australia. She completed her undergraduate studies with the degree Bachelor of Computer Science in November 2004. Subsequently, she studied Interdisciplinary Media Studies at Bielefeld University, Germany, and the American University in Cairo, Egypt, and received the degree Master of Science in May 2007.
Since March 2008 she is a PhD student at the Graduate School for Cognition and Robotics and a member of the Artificial Intelligence Group and Sociable Agents Group at Bielefeld University, Germany. Her fields of research are speech and gesture synthesis and coordination for humanoid robots and human-robot interaction.
